Photographs to support your plans

In order for us to produce accurate and appropriate house extension plans, we will need you to provide supporting photographs. We will need clear photographs of the following:

THE PROPERTY

THE GARDEN

THE LOFT
( applicable for loft conversions only )

How to take photographs of the property

Photo angles

We will need a photograph of each elevation (floor) of the property. If you’re unable to photograph an elevation of your property in one view, try taking two photos side by side.

The arrows on the image indicate the angle that the photographs should be taken from.

How to take photographs of the garden

Please take photographs of the front and rear gardens. The best photographs are obtained if you are able to stand well back or, if possible, from a second storey window or a high point. This will provide us with an overall layout of the garden.

How to take photographs of the loft

You will only need to take photographs of the loft if you want to undertake a loft conversion. Take a photograph within your roof space. Don’t worry if access to your loft is limited. We will let you know if we require additional photos.
